NEXEN Tire, a leading global tire manufacturer, today announced that it has won consecutive races in the opening round of the ‘2024 O-NE Superrace Championship’ as well as the ‘Super 6000 class’.
The ‘Super 6000’ class of the Superrace Championship is the fastest type of stock car (6,200 cc, up to 460 horsepower) racing in Korea, requiring drivers with advanced racing skills and concentration.
Teams and players driving cars equipped with NEXEN Tires won the ‘Super 6000 class’, the top class of the ‘Superrace Championship’, on April 20 and 21, at the Everland Speedway in Yongin, Korea.
Eui-Chul Jung of Seo Han GP won the opening match on the 20th, while Hyun-Jin Jang of Seo Han GP won the second round on the 21st. In addition, in the second round, Seo Han GP's Joong-Kun Kim and Eui-Chul Jung finished second and third, respectively, and the players equipped with NEXEN tires sweeping the podium.
NEXEN Tire's N’FERA SW01 (WET) product, which Eui-Chul Jung used on the 20th, is a racing-only tire that maximizes high-speed driving and cornering performance by providing excellent drainage performance on wet roads and wet road compound.
The N’FERA SS01 (DRY), which was used by the players who climbed the podium on the 21st, is a slick tire designed specifically for ultra-high-performance racing, providing excellent road surface grip and braking even in extreme driving conditions.
As a result, NEXEN Tire won the title on both wet and dry roads, demonstrating its superior product performance.
Meanwhile, NEXEN Tire will supply racing-only tires to Seo Han GP, O-NE Racing, and ONE Racing, which will participate in the "Super 6000" class this season.
