Kelkheim, June 24, 2026 - As a member of GDSO, NEXEN TIRE has been actively contributing to the development of industry-wide digital standards since January 2024, helping to shape the next generation of mobility.

Digitalization will redefine the role of the tire, transforming it from a physical product into a connected, data-driven asset throughout its entire lifecycle. By establishing standardized, accessible, and trusted tire data, the industry can unlock new levels of transparency, efficiency, and value creation across the mobility ecosystem. This vision will enable smarter services, seamless integration with connected vehicles and infrastructure, enhanced road safety, and more sustainable mobility solutions for future generations.

"The future of mobility will depend on reliable and standardized data exchange across the entire value chain. Through its active participation in GDSO, NEXEN TIRE is contributing to the development of digital standards that will support greater transparency, efficiency, and innovation in the tire industry and beyond," said Gianluca Lo Vercio, Chief of (EU) Standard & Regulation Unit at NEXEN TIRE, member of the Board of Directors of GDSO.

Through its involvement in GDSO, NEXEN TIRE is helping advance technologies that enable tire lifecycle tracking, digital product identification, and more efficient data exchange across the value chain. These developments have the potential to transform how tires are monitored, maintained, and managed throughout their service life.

NEXEN TIRE believes that collaboration is essential to building a smarter, safer, and more connected future. Working together with strong industry partners such as Michelin, Devel, Fasep, ATEQ, EDP, Regom, and Corghi through GDSO enables NEXEN TIRE to contribute to solutions that benefit manufacturers, fleets, service providers, regulators, and drivers alike.
