- Company awarded with grand prize in “brand exposure” category for viral Manchester City YouTube clip

NEXEN Tire announced that its viral online YouTube video of the Manchester City Football Club, official partner of NEXEN Tire, has received the grand prize in the “brand exposure” category.

This year’s advertising ceremony by the Korea Advertising Society selected outstanding advertising campaigns based on creativity, originality, effectiveness, and influence among ads run throughout 2023.

NEXEN Tire won the grand prize in the “brand exposure” category regarding a collaboration video that was jointly produced by NEXEN Tire and the MMTG (https://www.youtube.com/@mmtg_official) channel in August 2023. The video celebrated ManCity’s Korea visit in 47 years, in which the tiremaker has been a partner for the past decade.

The two-part episode YouTube video featured Manchester City players Erling Haaland, Phil Foden, and Rico Lewis boarding a bus with wrapping design by NEXEN Tire while being interviewed by influential Korean YouTuber “Jae Jae”. The video also featured the three players enjoying games at an arcade, greeting fans, and meeting with Korean comedian Um Ji-yoon, who is known for resembling Haaland.

The viral videos and reels reached a total of 6.6 million views from both soccer enthusiasts and general customers.
