NEXEN TIRE, a leading global tire manufacturer, has announced that it is holding the “NEXUS” exhibition in collaboration with Sejong University.
The exhibition was created to promote NEXEN TIRE's design philosophy and values, as well as to provide students from Sejong University's Department of Design Innovation with opportunities to exhibit their artworks.
The exhibition under the theme of "NEXUS" is short for NEXT WITH US, which interprets that individuals, regions, and communities are the main players of NEXT and will shape the future together with NEXEN TIRE.
NEXEN TIRE's design philosophy of "Ultimate Sensual, Timeless Movement” and its three core values, Objet with Dynamics, Objet with Essence, and Objet with Refinedness, were redefined to produce various results.
NEXEN TIRE and Sejong University students partnered more than eight months ago to challenge students to reinterpret NEXEN TIRE’s design philosophy. The company’s design team paid a personal visit to the school to exchange ideas and mentor students.
The exhibition will be held from September 19 to 26 in the lobby of the NEXEN Central Research Institute's "The NEXEN UniverCity" in Magok, Seoul, for the public to see.
Meanwhile, NEXEN TIRE has been producing creative design outcomes through various design collaborations with artists, high schools, and the Korea Design Membership (KDM+). This time, the company teamed up with students from Sejong University's Department of Design Innovation.
